My name is Seon Shoopman, first name pronounced see-on, and I am an animator on VFX Films and TV shows. I have been interested in cartoons since I was eight years old; drawing them and mimicking different voices. I realized in middle school I wanted something to do with cartoons and animation for my career.
I graduated from Purdue University in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Graphics Technology and Animation. After college, I realized that I needed more training so I completed Animation Mentor’s Online Character Animation program receiving a certificate in advanced character animation.
Soon after completing Animation Mentor, I started working for Steamroller Studios on a 3-month contract working on a new Universal Studios amusement park ride. After that, I got hired at Spin VFX and moved to Atlanta, Georgia to work on film and tv shows.
